FOUNDER

Emily Keller is currently a Senior at Skyline High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. After spending her quarantine fostering cats, Emily decided to take her passion even further. She collaborated with her peer, Anagha, to create Project Keep Cats Warm, where the two of them built over 25 shelters for community cats living outdoors. They also conducted a donation drive to help these stray/feral cats, and where able to receive over $2,000 worth of donations, as well as multiple local news coverage. But Emily didn't stop there. She proceeded to create Students for Animals, an organization dedicated to educating others on animal rights as well as everything she has learned through Project Keep Cats Warm. She is also the co-founder of Animal Welfare in order to directly help animals at her school.

PRESIDENT

Anagha Rao is currently a senior at Skyline High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. Last winter, Anagha Rao collaborated with Emily Keller in the project Keep Cats Warm. This project involved making over 25 shelters for feral cats using recyclable materials. Anagha also conducted a donation drive that raised over $2,000 worth of donations for Kitty CrusAIDe. After this project was a huge success, Anagha Rao turned her attention to her high school. She and her friend Emily are integrating more animal-related service opportunities at their school by starting the Animal Welfare board position. Every month, they plan and coordinate service opportunities related to cats, dogs, animal rights, and more. Anagha continues to make a difference for animals as the Students for Animals Vice President by writing blogs and helping with the website.
